Getting Started
What is Ozzy Odds?+
Ozzy Odds is an Australian sports arbitrage alert and information service. We compare live odds across licensed Australian bookmakers and identify price differences that allow you to bet on multiple outcomes of the same event and target a profit regardless of the result. Alerts are delivered to a private Telegram members channel.
What is arbitrage betting?+
Arbitrage betting takes advantage of pricing differences between bookmakers. When two bookmakers disagree on the odds for the same event, you can bet on both outcomes and target a profit regardless of who wins. You're exploiting a pricing inefficiency, not predicting a result.
Is arbitrage betting legal in Australia?+
Yes. You're placing bets with licensed Australian bookmakers at the odds they offer. There's no law against holding accounts with multiple bookmakers or betting on the same event across more than one. Bookmakers can, however, limit or close accounts of users they suspect are arbing — it's not illegal, but they don't like it.
What bookmaker accounts do I need?+
The more accounts you hold, the more opportunities you can act on. We recommend at least 4–6 major Australian bookmakers to start. Each alert specifies which two bookmakers are involved. Signing up is free and takes a few minutes per bookie.
How much money do I need to start?+
You can technically start with a few hundred dollars spread across your bookmaker accounts, but more capital means higher absolute returns per opportunity. We'd suggest $300–$500 minimum as a starting bankroll, scaling up from there as you get comfortable.
How The Service Works
How do I receive alerts?+
All alerts are delivered to our private Telegram members channel. When you subscribe through Whop, you're automatically added. Each alert includes the sporting event, market type, the two bookmakers involved, the odds, the estimated edge percentage, and a direct link to the Ozzy Odds calculator with the odds prefilled.
What's the tracking assistant bot?+
Every alert comes with a "Start Tracking Arb" option. Tap it and the tracking assistant monitors that specific opportunity for you, pushing private notifications if odds move significantly or the opportunity expires. It's an informational aid — it doesn't place bets, and you still need to make your own call on whether to act.
What threshold does an opportunity need to hit?+
Our software only sends alerts on opportunities above a 1.8% net positive projected return. Anything below that doesn't comfortably survive rounding, odds movement, or execution friction, so we filter it out before it hits the channel.
How often do opportunities come up?+
It varies. Busy sporting calendars produce more, quiet periods produce fewer. We don't promise a set number per day — what we'll say is the channel is built to surface clean, actionable opportunities rather than spam every borderline alert.
Can odds change before I place my bets?+
Yes — this is the main risk. Odds shift quickly and the opportunity may narrow or disappear before both bets are placed. Keep your bookmaker apps logged in and ready, and always verify the odds yourself before placing. The tracking assistant helps by notifying you if odds move on a tracked opportunity.
Does Ozzy Odds place bets for me?+
No. Ozzy Odds is an information and alert service only. We identify opportunities, notify you, and offer the calculator and tracking assistant to help you act on them — but you place every bet yourself with your own bookmaker accounts. We never access your accounts, your funds, or your bets.

Risks & Account Management
Can bookmakers limit my account?+
Yes. Bookmakers can reduce your maximum bet amounts and this is common with consistent arbing. Using rounded bet amounts, varying your patterns, and placing occasional standard bets can help extend account life — but limitations will likely happen eventually. It's the cost of doing business.
Is there a risk of losing money?+
On a perfectly executed two-outcome arb, risk is minimal. Real-world risks include: odds shifting before both bets are placed, failing to place the second bet, voided bets, draws or third-outcome results in markets that aren't fully covered, and calculation errors. Always verify current odds and market type before placing. Ozzy Odds does not guarantee profits.
Are my winnings taxable?+
For most recreational bettors in Australia, gambling winnings are tax-free. If the ATO considers you a professional gambler, winnings may be assessable income. We're not accountants — speak to one if you're unsure how your situation is treated.
